Our Hours: April 1 – mid October we are open Monday-Friday from 8am-6pm, Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 12am-4pm.
Hours Mid October through March are by appointment. We are closed on Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day.
Located near Hope, Indiana, we offer lovely flowers and fresh, high quality produce, berries, meat, hay and straw to the Columbus, Indiana and southern Indiana communities. Our growing season is April-October so we have a of off-season produce available even when the weather gets cold! U pick Black Berries, Black Raspberries and Red Raspberries are available ususally in late June. Come find us at our greenhouse on State Road 9 just south of Hope.
What We Offer
Fresh Produce
Here at Duck Creek, we grow a variety of off-season and in-season quality produce including tomatoes, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, assorted peppers, brussel sprouts, eggplants, squash and cucumbers. Our selection of produce changes by the season and year, so stop by to see what we have available. Come check out our selection and add something fresh and delicious to your dinner menu.
Flowers
Elsbury Family Greenhouse started growing flowers 40 years ago at this location. They are well know for the quality and wide variety of flowers that they produce. Available is a large selection of annuals, perennials and herbs. Call or stop in to see what we have to beautify your home or garden. We are sure to have just what you are looking for.
Freezer Beef
Cooking on the grill tonight? We have a large selection of locally grown fresh from the farm freezer beef from DownE Farms. All of their beef is pasture-fed, grain finished, and free from hormones and antibiotics. We have steaks, roasts, and ground beef in 1 pound packages or patties. We also have hard to find organ meats such as heart, liver and tongue. The beef can be purchased by the package, quarter or half.
Freezer Lamb
Our lamb is locally grown by PAD’Q Farms in Columbus Indiana.
Hay and Straw
We pride ourselves on offering quality alfalfa hay for horses, cows, goats and other livestock. Our hay is straight alfalfa with minimal grass. We also have straw for bedding, mulch or decoration.
About Duck Creek Gardens
Duck Creek Gardens was founded in 2013 at the location of Elsbury's Greenhouse. We grow a majority of our flowers and vegetable plants and strive to provide a excellent quality plant as well as excellent customer service. We also grow off season vegetables Our U pick berry patches are well groomed and provide a family friendly picking experience.
Fresh Berries
Looking for something a little sweeter? We grow our own berries including Black Raspberries, and Blackberries are usually available in late June and the early part of July. Please call to confirm availability.
All of our berries taste great whole and fresh or baked into delicious pies and pastries. We sell our berries in containers or you can come down to the farm with your family and pick your own.
Off-Season Produce
We know how frustrating it can be to find fresh produce when the usual growing season ends or has not yet arrived. We've managed to work around this problem with our greenhouses. Using just the right temperatures and conditions, we can grow fresh off-season vegetables without sacrificing quality or flavor. When the weather has turned chilly and you are looking for fresh veggies to add to a dish, then come visit us and see what we have available.
